Privacy Policy

The short version

Your spending data — every amount, category and note — lives only in the app on your phone. It never reaches us. We collect a little anonymous usage and crash data to fix bugs and improve the app, and you can switch that off in Settings. If you sign in, we store your name and email so we can tell you about updates.

Who we are

Kiff-Kach is a personal spending tracker for Android, made by the Kiff-Kach team in Morocco. For any privacy question or request, email contact@kiff-kach.com. We are the data controller for the limited data described below.

What stays on your device never sent to us

Everything you enter about your money is stored in a private database on your phone and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:

We cannot see any of this. It is deleted when you uninstall the app. You can export it yourself to an Excel file at any time from Settings.

What we do collect, and why

DataWhyYour control
Account — your name and email address (only if you sign in) To sign you in, and — only with your consent — to email you when a new version is released. Withdraw email consent, or delete your account entirely, in Settings.
Anonymous usage data — which screens and features are opened; standard device/app info (OS version, device model, app version, language, timezone, mobile carrier); an anonymous identifier To understand which features people actually use, so we build the right things. Turn off “Share anonymous usage data” in Settings. On by default.
Crash & error reports — error type, stack trace, device/app info, recent non-sensitive breadcrumbs (e.g. “opened Stats”) To find and fix bugs quickly. Covered by the same Settings toggle.

We never include in usage or crash data: any transaction amount, any transaction title or note, any category name you created, or your income or savings figures.

Who processes this data

We do not show ads, we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the processors above.

Legal basis

How long we keep it

Your rights

These rights are provided under Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data and, for users in the EU/EEA, the GDPR.

Security

All traffic to Supabase and PostHog is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Your on-device data sits in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read.

Children

Kiff-Kach is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page. For anything material, we'll also email signed-in users.
